At Barefoot Beginnings Preschool Ministry, our curriculum is a well curated combination of Montessori, Waldorf, and Emilio Regio philosophies used to foster comprehensive child development:
Montessori: Encourages independence through self-directed learning in a child-friendly environment.
Emilio Reggio: Focuses on creating learning opportunities through play and exploration, enhancing creativity and critical thinking.
Waldorf: Nurtures physical, emotional, and spiritual development, integrating arts and nature-based activities.
“Little Hands to Heaven” Preschool Curriculum
Our “Little Hands to Heaven” Bible-based curriculum teaches essential academic concepts like letters, numbers, and shapes while promoting social, emotional, and physical growth through engaging materials for our children ages 1-3. This holistic approach prepares children for both academic success and compassionate living.
Jr. Kindergarten Curriculum
Our carefully curated curriculum builds upon our preschool program with the focus on Bible-based play n’ worship program. This approach provides intentional play techniques to connect with Bible stories. In addition, we will introduce Saxon math principles and the Spell to Write and Read (SWR) program focusing on phonograms and building the foundation to prepare for our Hybrid-modeled Kindergarten Program.
Kindergarten Curriculum
Our Hybrid-model Kindergarten program will provide parents with the flexibility of homeschool and the support of teacher lead instruction. This approach requires the commitment of parents as co-teachers assisting with the instruction of “homeschool” days (1.5-2.5 hours per day) with assignments provided by the teacher. The curriculum will include Play n’ Worship, Saxon Math, Spell to Write and Read (SWR), US Bede’s History, and introduction to Chemistry with developmentally appropriate techniques.
